As Artificial Intelligence (AI) becomes increasingly ubiquitous, it raises important ethical considerations. AI technologies are increasingly integrated into our daily lives, from intelligent virtual assistants to facial recognition software. However, as the capabilities of AI continue to grow, so too do concerns around issues such as data privacy, algorithmic bias, and accountability.
According to Platformer, Microsoft laid off an entire team dedicated to guiding AI innovation that leads to ethical, responsible, and sustainable outcomes last week.
I'm not sure this is the right way to go.

Let’s talk about it!
Don’t hesitate to tell me if you want to read about ethics in AI!
If AI is going to be a part of our lives, it has to be a 'part' of the community. Transparency and regulations become necessary since you cannot actually 'punish' an AI model for spreading misinformation - like in the case of humans.
At the end of the day, AI is a tool. And while many tools can replace humans' jobs (like how the Gutenberg press replaced many writers), they cannot cross the line and become 'humans'. And if this is the case, then we should regulate them under laws and regulations - just like humans.
Either way, it is just foolish to let these wild hyper-intelligent wizards wander themselves. AI can pose a serious threat, and there is no denial in that we should keep them under check - and act before it's too late.
